I have known and loved Bartok's string quartets since 1964.
I have several recordings on vinyl and on CD.
I bought this DVD thinking it would be great to watch four top-rate musicians at work.
The whole thing is a waste of time BECAUSE THEY ARE MIMING, probably to the "perfect" CD recording. What a cheap trick!
My advice is to buy the CDs. I cannot watch this DVD, but I can listen to it. The actual audio performances sound quite good, but the miming is not good at all.
