In order to achieve the blazing two-millisecond response time, Samsung uses its proprietary MagicSpeed and Response Time Accelerator (RTA) technologies in the 940BF. RTA technology is a video processing circuit that ensures stable viewing of DVDs and streaming video. By "jump-starting" the liquid crystals, they are able to turn faster which increases the brightness quicker and the user no longer sees a lag time, a blurring image or ghosting.
