Some of the best musicians on the planet, groovy, melodic, solid, innovative and creative togetherness. An absolute must have if you want to understand modern Jazz evolution and it's influences. I have seen the YJ's live in a number of occasions in London and they are as brilliant as in this cd/DVD package. I bought 2 of these, just in case one of them is accidentally scratched !!!! More please !

I have always been a yellowjackets fan ever since I first heard "Livewires" some years ago. I have also seen them live and they aer without doubt one of the most inspiring bands I have ever heard. Their mixture of stles and influences is many but everything is as they say "Jacketised". This is an extra treat with a CD and DVD with lots of extra performance and interview footage.
From a drummers point of view, Marcus Baylor is a fresh and exiting addition to the band. He is a musician and not just a drummer. An acolade only won by his non drumming peers in the band. His writing of drum parts for all songs are a lesson in how to be a drummer in a band like this. Thanks goodness this is a CD & DVD. If it were vinyl, it would have worn out already as I play this constantly. I urge you to go out and get anything "Yellojackets", CD's DVD's songbooks - anything and learn !
