Fly Me Away is the forth single of Goldfrapp's stunning platinum selling third album, Supernature!
This one is a bit different to the glam roack tunes of Ooh La La and Ride A White Horse. Instead it's more in the same vein as Number One-a lush, warm pop song.
Alison's soft, whispery vocals drift along a dreamy soundscape of synths and electronic beats, coupled with simple but uplifting vocals. The single mix of the track is relatively similar to the album version. There are extra sounds added here and there and the track is shorter. Still worth a listen though. The artwork is amazing too-very dark compared to the song, which is a great contrast!
To sum up, Fly Me Away is one of the standout tracks on Supernature and it was only a matter of time before this gem was given its own release. A lovely, mellow track for the spring and a great to finish (?) off the Supernature project!
