Made famous by the teen drama 'the OC' Imogen Heap is surely set for superstardom. Her sound is beautiful. Her voice is so flawless that she can get away with whole songs of pure vocals (Hide and Seek).
'Goodnight and Go' is a pretty pop song with a funk beat and nice lyrics, but in my opinion it is worth buying this single for the track 'Speeding Cars'. Featured in the season 3 finale of 'The OC', 'Speeding Cars' is a beautiful song full of stunning melodies and heartfelt vocals. It is instantly likeable across a broad range of music tastes. Anyone who likes quieter music with less bass and backing sound and a more vocals and lyrics orientation will go for this. Think acoustic, pretty and melodical.
It's hard to compare Imogen Heap to other artists, but if you like James Blunt without the whinyness, Natalie Imbruglia, Will Young, Daniel Powter etc then it's a sure-fire bet that you'll love this. People with different tastes, however, don't be put off by these comparisons. Imogen Heap is truly individual and always worth a listen.
