5.0 out of 5 stars Best album of the year, 20 Dec 2006
By Lurchje (Amsterdam) - See all my reviews
To me this album is the release of the year. I got to know this band at the 5daysoff festival in Amsterdam and i was amazed by there performance. It was of a beautiful darkness i hadn't heard in quite a while. The next day i immediatly ordered their cd. When i put it in my cd player for the first time, i immediately felt like i was at the concert again. It was great. Now a half year later i still adore this cd. It is one of the few cd's i keep putting on. If you like 'dark' music with a relaxed touch to it, this is an absolute must have! It sounds a little bit like a sinister Cinematic Orchestra without the vocals. It also reminds me of Murcof and Bola, but the Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble is much more jazzier than these two electronic performers.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, 11 May 2006
I was looking forward to this release but I found it dull, missing the mark on most trax and left me wanting more, it had a lot of potential being on Planet Mu and with Bong Ra on there. Tis a lot like Bong Ra's Venetian Snares remix EP. Check out Manyfingers or Cinematic Orchestra if u like dis sort a ting.
