4.0 out of 5 stars A strange, engaging film with a twist in the tale, 25 Feb 2007
By Suroor Alikhan "suroora" (Geneva, Switzerland) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
A strange film--it's not clear where it's going until about halfway through. Dinshah Sethna (Naseeruddin Shah), a potter who is stoned most of the time, and his dissatisfied wife Katie (Dimple Kapadia) live in a small town in India. The rest of the dysfunctional family live in Mumbai--an old father, the younger son and his wife. Cyrus (Saif Ali Khan) moves in with Dinshah and Katie and things slowly start to fall apart. Excellent performances all around, especially from Saif Ali Khan.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wow, 8 Aug 2007
By Dichon "Bollywood Addict" (UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Saif Ali Khan at his scary best. Ihis is not your typical hindi film. It isn't -all singing/ all dancing/ falling in love/ and often being really irritating, kind of story. Think The Last Supper (the Hollywood dark comedy).

Saif Ali Khan (I hope he won an award for this) plays Cyrus, a disturbed young drifter. At first glance, his character is so sweeet, so lovable, you want to take him home. But, dont! It's all a disturbing con. Watch it and you'll be thinking about it for a long time. Well done Saif!!!

The supporting cast- Naseeruddin Shah, Dimple Kapadia and Boman Irani, are also top notch
