5.0 out of 5 stars A Hectic Season For Reds!, 25 Feb 2009
This is the official review of the 2005/2006 season from Liverpool FC in which the Reds scored over 100 goals in all competitions in a long season for manager Rafa Benitez and his players and Liverpool finished third in the Premiership after making progress from previous seasons. Among the highlights is a Steven Gerrard hat trick at home to T.N.S., the UEFA Super Cup triumph against CSKA Moscow in Monaco, reaching the final of the FIFA World Club Championship, a league double over Everton, late drama at home to Arsenal, a 5-1 rout at home to Fulham and the return of Robbie Fowler. The real highlight of the season was winning the FA Cup with the run starting with a eight goal thriller away at Luton Town, a 2-1 win away at Portsmouth, a memorable 1-0 win at home to rivals Manchester United, a 7-0 thrashing away at Birmingham City and an impressive 2-1 win against Chelsea in the semi final at Old Trafford set up a clash with West Ham United for the FA Cup Final at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. The final itself was hugely entertaining from start to finish and it will be well remembered for what it is known as the 'Gerrard Final' including a magnificent 35 yard strike among the pick of his two goals in that match as the Reds had to come from behind twice and eventually win the penalty shootout to secure their seventh FA Cup on a day which will go down as one of the most dramatic FA Cup Finals in memory. This DVD has highlights of every single goal from every single game from the Premiership, UEFA Champions League, FIFA World Club Championship, League Cup and FA Cup with interviews from the manager and the players and archive from BBC, ITV and Sky Sports at over two and a quarter hours full of action and drama and it is narrated by Damien Johnson. There is goals galore throughout which makes enjoyable viewing for neutrals and Reds fans alike like me.

2.0 out of 5 stars Where's the FA Cup Action?, 12 Jul 2006

(REAL NAME)
This is a good account of the premiership, champions league etc, but considering the DVD is called 'FA Cup Winners', there is a considerable lack of FA Cup final action. Bearing in mind this was one of the greatest ever FA Cup Finals in living memory you cant help but feel a little cheated. However, the FA Cup final is available to buy separately so looks like i'll be buying that one too!

4.0 out of 5 stars fa cup champs, 19 Aug 2008
Liverpool manage to stagger through a very short summer and hold on to prize asset Steven gerrard. as the reds try to defend the champions league they also pick up some early season awards with the european super cup and after a sluggish start the Reds campaign hits full momentum.

although they narrowly lose the world club final they make huge improvements in the league and the fa cup run is interesting too not to mention the return of robbie fowler.

dvd shows good footage of the games plus chucks in a few pre season matches and interviews with Rafa and Robbie Fowler.

was nice to see the club improving and this is one of their strongest seasons i nthe premier league although sadly number 19 was still a bridge too far.
