5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent - but if you've got all the albums don't bother, 14 May 2006

(REAL NAME)
I'm a huge Feeder fan and would certainly recommend this to people who only have one or two of their albums, but for those, like me, who already have them all its a bit of a waste of time. Nevertheless, don't let me take away the quality of this collection, I just hope it dosen't spell the end to one of the most underrated bands in the business.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Album, 5 May 2006
By Music Lover (Essex, UK) - See all my reviews
'Singles' is a collection of Feeder's work from the last five studio albums, from their debut back in 1997 with up to the new single 'Lost And Found' and two other tracks recently recorded with Stephen Street. Including the rousing rock classics 'Come Back Around', 'Buck Rogers', 'Just a Day', as well as the Top 5 hit single 'Tumble And Fall' and epic anthems like 'High', 'Forget about tomorrow' and 'Just The Way I'm Feeling', 'Singles' is a fantastic collection of songs from one of the UK's premier rock bands, who appear to have gone from strength to strength, despite the many adversities they've faced over the years.

4.0 out of 5 stars The only Feeder release everyone needs in their collection., 14 Dec 2006

(TOP 500 REVIEWER)
Feeder have been an institution in British music for quite some time, although they only hit the big time properly in 2001 with Buck Rogers. The following year was founding drummer Jon Lee's suicide and - in a cruel twist - the band's greatest critical and commercial success to date. However, unfortunately for the band - and in some cases they admit this - their first three albums and last two sound almost exactly alike, and 'Buck Rogers,' their most famous track, is one of their least characteristic, a true throwaway pop-punk song more suited for the likes of Sum 41.

But if there's one thing Feeder could also do, it was knock out a brilliant clutch of singles for every album. As such, these 20 tracks are what you should judge Feeder on rather than their interchangeable studio albums. They quite regularly come up with brilliant and affecting songs. Particularly the post-Jon Lee material is glorious, the melancholy rock of 'Come Back Around,' the swooning moroseness of 'Just The Way I'm Feeling' or 'Stumble And Fall.'

Then there's the much-loved b-sides 'Just A Day' and 'Shatter,' both great songs that show they had ideas to burn for every album even if they didn't all work out. There's even a few new songs just for good measure, including the sugary pop rush of 'Lost And Found,' the kind of song you wouldn't think they'd write any more.

If you only need one Feeder album, make it this one.
