1.0 out of 5 stars rancid cover band fail to impress, 29 Jun 2006
By Danny Hartop "DanH" (Leicester, England) - See all my reviews
To be honest with you that's all Time Again are, a Rancid cover band who got lucky. if this album wasnt released on Hellcat it would sound no where near as polished or as acceptable and wouldn't be getting the amount of press it has. time Again have been around for two years and this lack of experiance certainly shows, the lead singer for one holds no lyrical talent. He blurts out simple and predictable rhymes that at the best of the time hardly fit together and his impersonation of Tim Armstrong is cringe worthy. Maybe thats why Tim backed this band because it offered an ego boost to him, you know a couple of young punks licking his behind. I'd do the same if i was in tim's position. However i don't think this is a positive thing for the record label, Hellcat used to be about good quality punk albums, now it just seems to be churning out anything as the bands available are becoming few and far between. It's a poor album with only a few decent songs, one being 'the stories are true' which Armstrong features on. His one verse is by far the best lyrics you'll find on this album, the rest are simply predicable and uninspiring. A selling point for this album is that all the songs are based on real life, the thing is they just don't interest me and even if they were monumentous for the singer at the time he doesnt have the ability to convey them over music. I imagine it won't be long before this band has well and truly disappeared. Try the other newish band on Hellcat 'Left Alone' as they offer a far more distinguished example of contemporary Punk rock.

4.0 out of 5 stars Can't wait for the next Rancid album? Buy some Time Again, then!, 14 Dec 2006
These guys are great. They're so full of energy and passion, and you can most definitely hear it in this record. Nope, there's no doubt that they sure do sound a lot like old-school Rancid, and that Daniel Dart sounds quite a bit like Tim Armstrong, but that doesn't make this record bad. You can tell the band had fun and really enjoys themselves and has a lot of passion, which is always good. So yeah, the only reason it has 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the horrible song 'Junkies' and because Daniel needs to find his own vocal style. Other than those two things, this is a great record that should NOT be overlooked simply because it sounds a lot like Rancid.

5.0 out of 5 stars a perfect punk album, 15 Aug 2006
By C. Coughlin "mooch" - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
this album no matter what the other review says is frickin awesome.
so the singer sounds like tim armstrong which in my opinion is a good thing. armstorng does not release albums to make himself feel better.
there is not one bad song on this album and if you do like rancid (especially the early stuff) then you will definately love this album. this is just brilliant simple punk at its best, a must buy for any fans of good punk.
