I was wondering whether to get this or pro evolution 5 for the psp. I decided to go with this game as pro evolution does not have any career mode, only friendly matches!

The game is really fun and really addictive. It takes some time getting used to at the start which will result in you losing to very easy teams, but with a bit of practise its pretty easy to score. Infact, the game arrived today and i won the world cup with England without too much trouble, i will try the harder settings next.

The graphics arnt great but they are acceptable. I'd say that for a handheld console they are relatively good. Sometimes annoying shadows from the stadium block the ball out a bit, however it is not too bad.

Amazon offers a really good service, i chose the first class delivery and it came within a few days. The list price is also a lot cheaper then the high street and other gaming websites.

Overall i rate fifa world cup 2006 4 out of 5 stars as gameplay and graphics could be better but it is certainly very addictive!

Let me tell you the truth right from the beginning: ball physics, threedimensionality, spectator cheering, and spectator bitmaps are poor compared to Winning Eleven 9 = Pro Evolution Soccer 5. Due to the fact that the shades are weak or missing, it's often difficult to see whether a ball went above the goal, next to the goal, or into the goal. The poor animation of the goal net does not help either.

However, the game also has a number of strong points: First, the sheer number of sides (127 countries), second, the good commentary (even though it takes some time for them to react to a goal), third, the anthems of important (in terms of football, that is) countries are played at the beginning of the match, fourth, the menu music is superb, fifth, there are some excellent animations of player moves.

Therefore, I can conclude that this game is certainly not perfect, but still very enjoyable for football fans. In some sense, it is worth to own both this game and PES 5 since neither is better than the other in all respects.

wow..i was looking forwad to this game. it looks amazing with its amazing graphics and it has descent gameplay and good modes BUT as i said it has descent gameplay its not great. pro evo has excellent evrything thats why i am still stciking to the pro evo series
