Imagine a cross between ER and London's Burning and you get the picture. Classic show which should have been shown by Channel 4 in a prime time slot not shoved away into the graveyard slot or cut to pieces in the morning slot.

Great characters and great actors, Molly Price and Jason Wiles are real standouts. You'll also see Kim Raver from '24' and Eddie Cibrian from 'Invasion'. Really, this is a fantastic, gritty, powerful TV series.

I just got my DVD set from the UK, and I love this show. I never saw the first season I began watching on the 2nd season. Well here in the usa they are not selling this on DVD yet, but I got it as a gift and all I need was Region free DVD player. This was one of the best shows I have ever watched. Having a husband who is an EMT for the FDNY it is amazing to watch what it is like to wrok on the streets of NY. This show gets 5 stars from me.

... I can't believe it's finally out on DVD here, YAY!!! Although LONG over due.

Anyway... I have been following and watching Third Watch for years now converting all my friends and family into fans too. What makes this show so much better than the usual medical or crime drama series is the fact you get to see the different sections of the emergency services all in the same show so there's never a dull moment... And considering I know some FDNY paramedics who really love this show too they can't be doing too much wrong in terms of portraying it poorly or inaccurately.

I have gotten far too attached to these characters which is a testiment to these actors and writers abilities to draw you in. I hate knowing there's no more after season 6 but I would DEFINITELY recommend this show if you like fast paced action filled TV with witty and dark comedy that still retains it's emotional and heartwarming nature, I garuntee you will get sucked into their world too!!! And I defy anyone to not fall in love with the brilliance that is Maurice Boscorelli, although the rest of the cast are brilliant too, he's just excellently played by Jason Wiles.

BUY IT, YOU'LL LOVE IT :o)
