Product Description

Manufacturer's Description
Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai is the series debut on Sony's slick handheld. True to its DBZ roots, the game will feature plenty of familiar characters from the series and enough game modes to keep the Dragon Ball fan on the go busy.

The special moves and animations for each of these characters are quite different from one another, and each character has been given unique moves and attacks that are faithful to the manga and TV animation series. For example, Piccolo can stretch out his arms (a move known as the Mystic Attack) to grab his opponents and bring them closer to him for an attack. Another character, Krillin, can use his solar flare move to blind his opponents and stop them from moving, just like you see in the animated television series.

Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This game is really good with new characters and special minigames, but the downfall to this game is the storyline it is very short and most of it is skipping through text.the characters moves as well they only have 1 special move which isnt very good. overall the game is pretty good but needs improvement.
recommended to people who dont mind a short game

this is the first dragonball game on the PSP and it is a relly good game the graphics while not as sharp as the ps2 look almost the same as budokai 3 and it has a good selection of charactors the only down side is that you can only transform into one other form eg: goku base to super saiyan but otherwise there is nothing wrong so if you own a PSP and are a dragonball fan BUY THIS GAME

4.0 out of 5 stars MUST HAVE FOR DRAGONBALL FANS, 28 Jul 2006

well not just for dragonball fans this is an overall awesome fighting game to have in ones collection, the variation of moves and selection of characters and stages is fantastic. For the most part the game is top notch although the story mode does get a slightly repetitive as you just fight the same characters again and again. Aswell as this for the more hardcore DBZ fans the character powerlevels dont quite match up for example Krillin is capable of pummling super saiyan 2 Gohan which is just nonsense and as for my favourite character Trunks although you get to use his sword alot his super moves are poor. Apart from this it is a MUST have even if you trade it in a few months later.
