I really enjoyed this CD. The score is full of energy, the orchestration is colourful, genious and solid. If you're a fan of the composer and thought 'Robots' was such an amazing roller-coaster ride, then get ready for some more!

Fans of the score for the original 'Ice Age' (composed by David Newman) might be a bit dissapointed since John Powell scored this sequel entirely his way and left no variations or nods to the original Ice Age themes. But there is one thing both scores share: They both are "epic adventure scores, brimming with melody and overflowing with fun" as the manufactorers stated.

I strongly recommend this title to those that are seeking fun in film scores, to the fans of the composer and, of course, to those that enjoyed listening to the score albums of 'Shrek' and/or 'Robots'. Trust me, this one is not to be missed!
