Product Description

Album Description
This is the debut EP from UK based band The Villainy, featuring fout tracks from the forthcoming debut Album 'Sleeping With The Enemy'.

About the Artist
The Villainy were founded in 2001 by brother/sister song-writing team Lady J and SJ.

Prior to 2001, SJ, an experienced musician and producer, had been involved in many musical projects from management to production, engineer and session playing. In 2001, together with Lady J, he decided to concentrate on a single project and so, The Villainy was born.

Over the next two years SJ and Lady J spent a great deal of time in their studio experimenting and refining their sound, as the project grew, togther with the studio, they decided that they needed to collaborate with more musicians to make The Villainy a reality.

In 2003, DJ Enrocc joined the band, bringing with him the latest scratch sounds of the underground hiphop scene.

In December 2003, Nick Parry came onboard as drummer. Nick's experience in UK and USA based projects brought with it an excellent and varied array of drum and percussive elements to the tracks.

Jon Richards, who also has experience in musical projects on both sides of the Atlantic, became the fifth member of The Villainy in the summer of 2004, contributing a new dimension of synth, vocal and superb orchestration to the band.

The Villainy's eclectic style draws influence from hiphop, pop, progressive rock and funk primarily, with inspiration also from musicals and film scores.

With roots in acoustic and electric music, The Villainy have developed a style based very much on live instruments but orchestrated with audio samples, MIDI instruments, drum programming and scratch DJ'ing.
