This sequel to 'American Pie' sees the gang reunited a year later, older but not necessarily any wiser. With their end-of-semester vacation ahead Jim, Oz, Kevin, Vicky and new girl Heather gather to spend summer in a beachhouse by the sea. Jim (Jason Biggs) freaks out at the news that his one-night stand Nadia (Shannon Elizabeth) is coming down to the lakeside house to take things further; will he be able to perfect his 'technique' in time?. Against a backdrop of wild parties, some outrageous lesbian revelations, and a cautionary experience with some super glue, the gang learn what made and keeps them the best of friends.

To the horror of prudes everywhere, American Pie 2 is even funnier than its popular predecessor, pushing the R rating with such unabashed ribaldry that you'll either be appalled or surprised by its defiant celebration of the young-adult male libido. Females will be equally shocked or delighted, because like American Pie this appealing, character-based comedy puts the women in control while offering a front-row view of horny guys in all their dubious glory. Which is to say, American Pie is mostly about sex--or, to be more specific, breasts, genitalia, "potential" lesbianism, blue silicone sex toys, crude methods of seduction, "the rule of three" (just watch the movie), a shower of "champagne," phone sex, tantric sex, and, oh yeah... superglue.

In the case of college freshman Jim (Jason Biggs), performance anxiety plagues his upcoming reunion with sexy Czech exchange student Nadia (Shannon Elizabeth), but his buddies from American Pie have a solution: rent a Lake Michigan beach house for the summer, throw wild parties to lure the local "hotties," and score big-time. Beach Party this ain't: blessed with a complete cast reunion from AP1 (including Eugene Levy as Jim's dad), this sequel is anything but innocent, and with the exception of drugs (which are conspicuously absent), pretty much anything goes. The gags are almost nonstop, and director J.B. Rogers (recovering from his debut debacle Say It Isn't So) handles them with laudable precision, allowing his young cast (particularly Biggs, who epitomizes comedic good sportsmanship) to run with lines that most people wouldn't dare utter aloud. The result is a liberating and eminently good-natured comedy that needn't apologize for its one-track mind. --Jeff Shannon

This is one of the all time best comedies of recent times. With all the favourites back for a sequel, it doesnt disappoint. With the same humour but more orginal storylines, this is a must see for any movie fan.

I watched this film having seen the first American Pie and I thought it had reached a whole new level. It was so funny I don't think there was a part of it to which I wasn't in tears. Good film who anyone can appreciate I think. Fun and frolics with some dirty bits but what would a film be without these? Definitely has to be watched. Funny for elders and youngsters a good blend of commedy and also romance.

Having watched the first film, and then seen some poor reviews of the follow up, I wasn't sure what to expect.
It's great fun! I was laughing from start to finish, and while the first film made me cringe in places, I found this one far more comfortable. While the Band Geek jokes of the first film felt a bit lame, they work brilliantly in the followup, with wonderful emphasis of the interchange between Michele and Jim.
Bad Points? Nothing that I could readily identify. Picture and Sound are both OK, and the DVD has plenty of features. I'm not totally convinced it would stand up on its own, so maybe if you don't own the first film you should buy that too.
Summary? Buy it - I could watch this again and again.

American Pie 2 in all for me was funnier than the original by using the whole of the first cast and not going over old jokes. Jim explores his sexuality further and Jims dad is even more embarrassing. While stiffler is even more outrageous. I highly recommend this film as it is truly entertaining and cringe worthy!

How often is the sequel funnier than the prequel? Not very often, but in this case it is true!! Biggs is on form again, as is the rest of the cast! It is made even better by the reunion of the entire cast(like they could find anyone better than Biggs).
After their first year at college (universtiy to us English) the gang meet up to head of to the beach where they hire a house in order to have some great parties and pull, does it work? you'll just have to watch the film.
The film proves that men will do almost anything for lesbians, the men of the film are completley dominated by the women, and the band camp scenes are the best! the whole crew learn some important, but very funny lessons on the quest for the opposite gender.
A brilliant film, funniest film ever, if you haven't seen it, then why not? Even my dad loved it!!

Having seen Pie one, I was delighted to see the group of sexual misfits back together for another outing. This, like American Pie is side splittingly funny, has a good storyline, and is packed with bits you want to rewind and see again and again. Some of the section are a little OTT, so some people might find them offensive, but hey, you come to expect that having seen the first film. The section where the guys discover and meet the 'lesbians' has to be one of the funniest, and best parts of the film, as well as the part when Jim discovers the 'sticky' virtues of superglue - Ouch!!!
Ovaerall this is an enjoyable film you will want to see again and again.

I loved the First American Pie film so was obviously curious to see if the sequel could match up to it and I can assure you that it does. Its definately worth getting the unrated edition as it does include some really funny extra stuff that you won't have seen in the cinema! If you liked the first one expect the same sort of stuff in this one and get ready to laugh out loud..

The second installment of American Pie is just as funny, filthy and all round funny as the first. The special features have improved greatly. It contains the same characters from the first and some new people. This helping is based around a planned party and glue has a helping in the wrong way...
