Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

01-Aug-1942:

At the height of World War II, with the outcome still very much in doubt, secret Nazi experiments are searching for a way to bring life back to the dead. This experiment, led by a ruthless Nazi general, discovers that the shock people experience upon death endows their minds with powerful supernatural abilities. After countless attempts, they finally succeed at raising the first of a new breed of warrior - the UberSoldier.

You take the role of Karl Stolz, an officer killed leading a Wehrmacht patrol against partisan forces. The process that has brought life back to your lifeless body has unlocked powers from within your once-dead mind - but they do not take away the memories of what your Nazi masters have done to you.

Use up to 16 different authentic World War II weapons to compliment your new powers, fighting both human opponents and supernatural warriors over twelve levels of play, in your quest to eliminate once and for all the Nazi menace.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not Uber, more Average, 6 Sep 2007

Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
I completed this game last week and thought i'd write a review. You can pick this up for around £7 from amazon marketplace at time of writing. This is not the best FPS i've played I will tell you that first off.

If you find yourself wanting some FPS action and you are waiting for games to come out and you want something cheap to keep you going then Ubersoldier will fit the bill.

Graphics are good, definatley not poor! I'm playing everything to the max at 1280x1024 no lag. The gameplay is difficult in places but generally I didn't find it too challenging. I kept going back to this game, it is addictive, but the ending did come to soon. Overall slighty above average. Check your specs first as it is a bit of a system hog!

My specs P4 3.6Ghz, 2GB Ram, X850 xt.

1.0 out of 5 stars So disappointing, 1 April 2006
After a golden period of genre re-defining FPS games such as HL2, Doom3 and the excellent F.E.A.R., I was fully expecting Ubersoldier to deliver Wolfenstein type storyline flow and ambience upgraded with contemporary gameplay AI, graphics and audio. Indeed, early promotion suggested this quite strongly. No such luck. Ubersoldier fails on every count. Poor graphics and scene links, appalling physics, dreadful character dynamics and laughable character interaction. Not bad for a school project but well short of the standard I would expect for retail distribution.
