4.0 out of 5 stars Soundtrack your Summer., 24 April 2006
By Mr. M. E. Merritt "MattMerritt" (Portsmouth UK.) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
A great debut from an exciting new band, lots of uplifting songs that get you movin g and have lyrics worth listening to, American, but coming to Britain to find a fan base... I could be talking about the Scissor Sisters or the Killers, but you can now add Orson to that list.

This is a great album, well written, relentlessly uplifting and with some superb pop hooks. No Tomorrow is pretty well known by now and on it'd way to being the pop hit of the year, but there are plenty more great tracks here too... My personal pick for a future single would be Already Over.

In short, get this, you'll enjoy it whether you want to or not!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Debut - The New One To Watch!, 4 May 2006
By Jason Wise (England.) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Orson, excellent first single followed up by this, their debut album.
And what a stormer it is! If you're expecting more of "No Tomorrow"-a-likes then you will be disappointed. Most of the songs are not like that one but then again that is no bad thing when confronted with the quality of the rest of the songs!
While "Bright Idea" is a relatively understated opener, it follows with "No Tomorrow". "Happiness" is a classic slice of Orson class while other highlights are "Already Over", "So Ahead Of Me" and "OK Song".

While listening to this album I realised they sound very much like one of my favourite bands, Marvelous 3.
Seriously, if you like this album, I strongly suggest you get Marvelous 3's "Hey! Album" and/or "Ready Sex Go". Very similar musically and lyrically.

5.0 out of 5 stars Feel Good, 26 Mar 2006
Being a big Folk music fan this aint normally my cup of tea...But this album is great! It hits home and gives you that all round good feeling! Starting the album with a nice paced track like "bright Idea" is perfect, it gives you a good feel for the album and eases you in gently! No tomorrow is obviously the Hit, but dont be fooled thinking this song is a one hit wonder, its anything but. My advice is buy it, its perfect for a nice days drive down the coast! Sunroof open, windows down, music UP!
