4.0 out of 5 stars fantastic bit of kit, 22 Mar 2006
    By A Customer
I'm thrilled with this - DAB, MP3, FM and dictaphone in one super-lightweight and compact package. For the price, it exceeds my expectations. The sound quality is excellent, it's a doddle to navigate (which is lucky, as the manual's been poorly translated/thought out), and you can record both FM and DAB transmissions. Like the previous reviewer, I too live in the East End of London and I've got perfect reception for BBC Sport Xtra and the cricket. DAB's always going to 'bubble' when you're walking around – I don't know any device that's got round that problem yet.
    I haven't given it 5 stars because:
    • The cover for the USB port doesn't look like it'll last very long
    • DAB reception is so patchy that you'll often switch to FM, so why pay extra for DAB?
    • The earphones aren't very comfortable (but it works with any old earphones, so I'm not too bothered about that)
    • I can only store 21 songs at a time
    • Getting the songs onto it (from a Mac, it might be different on a PC) was a palaver, and a bit of shock after using an ipod
I bought this for train journeys: when I'm waiting for the train I can listen to DAB, when I'm on the train I can switch to FM, and when I go into a tunnel I've got a bit of MP3 as back up. For the money, I think this is pretty damn good.

2.0 out of 5 stars DAB Radio, 19 Mar 2006
By Kevin Jones (London, UK) - See all my reviews
I Live in east London, UK & brought this to listen to sports on all the new digital channels.

Unfortunatly I can't receive any stations at all.

Nice bit of equipment but be wary buying a digital radio as you may, like me need to buy an am/fm receiver as well If you wish to listen to the cricket.

1.0 out of 5 stars poor quality machine, 2 Aug 2006
    why?
    1. DAB only works if you stand still and is very poor at finding stations.
    2. Plastic clip very weak
    3. Does not support DRM downloads or WMP or mp 4's. In fact all you can download are illegal files!
    4. user manual very poor
    5. Customer support do not respond to e mails

Therefore I sugggest you do not waste money on it!
