Description

The world music label presents a variety of popular Turkishsongs set to Western dance grooves; the result is rather inthe vein of the late Israeli singer Ofra Haza's similar dance experiments. Emrah's insistent, acoustic "Kusursuszun", simultaneously foreign-sounding yet familiar, is a particularhighlight, while Mustafa Sandal's "Kalmadi" has subtle Latin overtones.

It took me a few listens to get in to, but now this is my favourite c.d.
Chearful and giggy-with-it this music will lift your mood and transport you off to beautiful Turkey. Its orthentic with about being too serious about it.
