A fantastic lineup of retro games are on this compilation, theres something for everyone. However Unfortunately I was unable to play it due to the Starforce Copy Protection scheme. This is the one that checks the disk is genuine when you click the game icon. While I am 100% sure the disk was genuine it still didn't like it! This is a great shame, as an avid retro gamer I was disappointed to say the least.

This is the exact same protection scheme that prevented me from playing Midway Arcade Treasures (see my other review).

Why game makers put these copy protection things on is beyond me, does anyone really bother copying a game of this price point?

There is a lot of fun to be had here, I had no problems installing this on XP Professional, though you cannot save the games, but you can keep adding credits, so you get continuous play. There are 4 games that are not here:

4 games exclusive to PS2: Balloon Bomber, Ray Storm, G Darius, Syvalion

But you get these games (ROMS) through the free MAME emulator, though Balloon Bomber is a very simple Space Invaders Clone.

Though the multi player MAME is ahead in some ways as you can play multi player with arcade games, this does not have this option.
