The album was produced by Paul Epworth (Bloc Party, Maximo Park) and includes the singles 'Alsatian' and 'Love Is ANumber'.

WRM have managed to breath plenty of life into the 80s synth-pop movement (if it exists).
Comparisons will be made with The Bravery, but the content in Kick is much deeper than that.
Sometimes quite dark (checkout the Depeche Mode soundalike 'Deborah Carne') and at other times quite experimental (Pig Heil Jam's off-kilter time signature for example), WRM's debut album has plenty to offer, and it should provide me with plenty of repeated plays for the next few months. Thoroughly recommended.

I saw WRM live supporting Placebo and was interested enough in them to get the album. Seeing them live did not prepare me at all for how good this album is. It's 80s synth mixed with guitars and very hard to categorise. I have not stopped listening to it since it's release. This lot deserve to be big.

This CD is just so good. It is a mix of 80's indie pop and contemporary sounds. Sometimes you hear moments of Joy Division (Love is a Number) and then you hear something else. This CD is infectious. I heard it first time and was intrigued and had to put it on again. I just hope they get the exposure they deserve. They have done some great singles from 'Love is a Number', 'Alsatian' and they have followed it up with a fantastic album. Their sound is contemporary, but also has strong 80's influences. If this sounds like your kind of thang I think you best get ordering...nuff said.
