COLORSTRIP is the debut by electronic wunderkind Jimmy Edgar. Connecting points across genres as diverse as early-1980sdisco and freestyle, as well as the angular experimentationof Detroit techno and contemporary R&B, Edgar's broken funkdeploys re-jiggered hip-hop, along with the baroque programming finesse of IDM. The producer's own vocals humanize the otherwise machine-music formula, coming off less like some techno-boffin wallflower and more like an electro-funk Lothario.

simple - if yr a fan of late night electronica with a pimped out sexy twist. buy this ! a great mixture of minimal detroit+ glitch electronica with deep vocals form mr.edgar + soulful keys. quite unlike anything i've heard anywhere else (perhaps a little similar to some Carl Craig from the 90's but with a glitch edge to it.) this album grows and grows on me after a year or more. quality late night electronica for discerning music fans.
