In spite of reading some dodgy reviews, I thought I would gamble on this tiltle as I was itching to have a PSP poker game.

I have found the AI to be very good with a nice level of unpredictability from your opponents. The tournaments are a proper challenge. The career mode is well constructed & with an online option as well I think this is a good game if you are serious about your poker. Contrary to other reviews on here, I have found that there are lots of nice touches such as the calculation of the showdown odds when the cards are face-up.

Yes, some of the opponents play some daft hands but that is true in real life too.

Also, the game includes a number of variations of poker so you can try your hand at limit hold em, 7 card stud etc, as well as the definitive no limit hold em.

i've been playing it for a few hours and after getting over the initial dissapointment of the poor player graphics this is a very fun and enjoyable game! the A.I is very good and realistic making some excellent plays. it is a hard game, but hey, this is the World seies after all and thats what you want in a game. i love the idea of doing the WSOP season and starting with only 10,000! do u go for the main event straight away or try make some cash in the preliminary smaller buy in games. for any poker fan this is a good replacement when you can't play on the internet or at the casino. brilliant for when your on holiday or travelling!

This is an awful game. The graphics are worse than the worse PS1 graphics, and the AI is simply pathetic. I had a copy of the US version as I have a US PSP, and it is simply awful. I would avoid at all costs. I am going to get the World Poker Tour game instead as it has been getting much better reviews and has real pros in it.
