4.0 out of 5 stars A nice little game., 31 Mar 2006

(REAL NAME)
I visited Orlando a few months ago and had a one day pass to seaworld but unfortunately didnt get to see Shamu so when i saw this game i thought itd be a nice way to make it up to my fiancée for spending too long in an arcade and making her miss the show.

I've only played the game through the first couple of levels but it really seems like a pretty cool game. The graphics are good, the DS doesnt have the 3D graphics of other versions of the game but does have the odd 3D cutscene. The sound is also quite good, the music sounds like something of a relaxation radio channel but it works well.

The game uses the DS's touch screen to good effect meaning that Shamu is easily controlled allowing you to pull off jumps and somersaults with ease (you can also use the directional pad for those who dont get on too well with their stylus)

One problem is that it seems somewhat too easy, although you can lose (you collect jewels which you lose some of if an enemy hits you and 'die' if out run out ala sonic) the jewels are however plentiful meaning you can pretty much swim through the levels and just bang into stuff.

All in all this game has been a pleasant surprise, it is sort of babyish but who cares!
