Top Notch DVD!, 30 Mar 2006
This is a fine 2 disc set, although quite why it had to be on 2 discs is anyones question! It features all the music videos except Glory of the 80's and Strange Little Girls which is a shame because it doesnt make it a complete collection. None the less, each song has been remastered it seems, and the remasters sound different to the Tales of A Libraian album to me. You really can hear the difference and that's one of the big pluses. Also each track has commentary on by Tori which for the most part is extremely intresting and full on little nuggets of information. There's also a "making of A Sorta Fairytale" piece too, which is a good 20 minutes long. A good purchase for all Tori fans and people who are intrested in symbology in the visual arts.

Buy It, A Great DVD, 27 Feb 2006
Tori Amos is one of my favorite singers as well as Bjork and PJ Harvey. This DVD contains all of Tori's music videos except for a couple, for example, Glory Of The 80's, which is also a great music video. My favorie music video is 'Cornflake Girl (US Version)' because 1. Its a great song, 2. Its a great video, 3. Its funny. Mostly all of Tori's music videos are funny but thats Tori Amos '_'. I love this DVD it is a must have!!!Disc 1: * Past The Mission * Crucify * Jackie's Stregth * A Sorta Fairytale * Winter * Spark * Sleeps With Butterflies * Corflake Girl (US Version) * Hey Jupiter (Dakota Version) * Silent All These Years Disc 2: * Caught A Lite Sneeze * 1000 Oceans * God * Bliss * China * Raspberry Swirl * Talula * Sweet The Sting * Pretty Good Year Bonus Videos: * Professional Widow (Remix) * Cornflake Girl (UK Version)

A must for Toriphiles, 23 Jun 2007
I didn't become a fan of Tori until her release of the album, SCARLET'S WALK. Because of this, when she was still in her early days and making the majority of the videos that appear on this collection, I never took notice. FADE TO RED has provided me with the opportunity to see all her videos (minus Glory of the 80s and Strange Little Girl) and to appreciate her talent in a completely new way.
The DVD has 2 discs. Songs from her first album, LITTLE EARTHQUAKES to her album THE BEEKEEPER (last but one) appear. Tori also provides a commentary to the videos - this is a great feature, as Tori is a very creative person, and it is not always easy to grasp exactly what is behind her thinking. The video for "A Sorta Fairytale", for example is well known by Toriphiles as being quite bizarre, to say the least (it features Tori's head on top of a leg and there is a man in the video whose head is at the top of an arm)!
This probably links to what I love about Tori as an artist in general. After hearing her songs, you tend to get an idea in your head of what the song is about, and how it would look as a visual representation. Then, when you see her interpretation, it completely offers a different way of expressing what you had come up with. As a lover of literature, for me, it is not disimilar to reading poetry - everyone will find something different, as it is a very subjective process of untangling imagery and metaphor.
Not content with all of that, Tori has also provided FADE TO RED with a small collection of postcards, featuring stills from 3 of the videos. They are "1000 Oceans", "Jackie's Strength" and "Professional Widow". Two are in colour, one is black and white. This is a nice addition, giving the fans a little something extra.
This is definitely recommneded to any Ears With Feet - if you know what that means, you really should get this DVD!
