    I researched all mp3 players before finally buying this one 9 months ago. It still feels new and delights me...

    It has the best sound on the market, it's tiny and it can do everything. Play about 7 different formats, including OGG and FLAC. Listen to the radio. Watch videos - after converting them with the included software. View photos. Read text files. Record voice. Record line-in.

    It was also very important to me that whatever mp3 player I bought had flash memory. I think it's very foolish to buy an mp3 player with a hard drive, that can skip and become damaged so easily.

    Finally, it is so robust and does not scratch at all!

    Forget the iPod. Buy the u3.

    I bought this player new for around half the price quoted here: about 110 quid. For that money I have what I wanted which is an mp3 player with amazing clarity and definition of sound. I did not buy it for it's multi-media capabilities. Most reviews will tell you that the screen is too small to be useful and if you upload a widescreen movie the problem becomes more obvious. The screen is ridiculously small but the definition again is good. At a pinch it might be worth it (stuck in an airport etc) but it's strengths lie in its sound and intuitive ease of use. you will not need to swallow the manual to control it immediately.

    Having been let down by a Creative Zen V, I was a bit nervous to try this out. No need for worries though as this little beauty is so easy to use and works really well. Excellent sound quality and the line-in function has allowed me to record my vinyl and convert to WMA. The only down side is it takes a little while to get used to the crazy menus and I haven't tried the video playback yet, but all in all, an amazing product.
