One of the rather good surprises of Jayne Mansfield's rather distressingly awful 60's filmography. It has the flavour of odd crime drama from that era and a rather good soundtrack. The story is about a gang of money obsessed losers who one by one meets their doom in an isolated villa on a Mediterranean island only inhabited by a mad woman.
I expected a terrible turkey, but was astonished to actually enjoy this rather violent thriller.
The cast includes Cameron Mitchell (Lauren Bacall's beau in "How to marry a millionaire"), Isa Miranda and a cameo by Elke Sommer singing an improbable `Schlager' number in a hotel. The acting is somehow over the top, and despite the many directors involved in the project (among them Albert Zugsmith, who produced gems like "Written on the Wind", The Incredible shrinking Man" or "Touch of Evil" for Universal studio, and later some cult B movies and exploitation films, namely "High School Confidential" or "Queen of Outer Space" and director of the celebrated "Queen of Outer Space"), the film is perfect as a vintage 60's midnite flick.

This is an outrageously trashy Jayne Mansfield picture full of bad acting and... Jayne!If you like movies that are so bad that they're good- you will love this.
