Product Description

CD Description

'Analogue' is the eighth studio album by Norwegian superstars A-Ha. One of the most popular Norwegian bands of all time, A-Ha's distinctive sound coupled with lead singer Morten Harket's incredible falsetto has wowed audiences for over twodecades, and this new album shows real progression without straying too far from the band's trademark sound. Includes the single 'Celice'.

5.0 out of 5 stars pure magic, 4 Dec 2005
By C. Snape (UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I have been an a-ha fan since 1985. Their music has took several twists and turns over the years and i have always had to listen to their albums several times for the tracks to grow on me, and this album was no exception. However this album has a more adult and more mature feel than the others. Although there appears to be a number of ballads on the album, none are the same and all are just pure class. Celice, Analogue and holyground are my most favourites but none of the others are far behind. Their thoughtfullness of sound and lyrics in their music has excelled on this album and Mortens voice is hauntingly beautiful. Let's hope that a new record deal means more promotion in the UK this time.I do feel that a-ha are the most underated group in the world, give it a try and see what you think. I'm sure you wont be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Their Best Yet, 22 Feb 2006
By A Customer
This is quite different from their original sound, with a lot more guitars but combined amazingly well with piano and electronic instrumentation to great effect. Lyrically, this is a very strong album with some great lines, delivered extremely well. Some of the words are very poignant, with a melancholic feel (a recurring theme is of life going by and wasting your chances). The songs are great, a lot of potential singles 'birthright', 'cosy prisons', the very coldplay-esque (there are hints of coldplay elsewhere -payback?) 'summers of our youth'. 'Celice' (this might have something to do with the Da Vinci code?) and 'Don't do me any favours' are great snappy tunes as is 'Analogue'. 'Keeper of the flame' does not sound like a single but is a real grower in a Beatley kind of way. There is a very warm sound overall. So ticks in every department, this is their best album ever (check out'hunting high and low' and 'minor earth major sky', avoid 'lifelines'). I'll avoid saying it is a classic as it takes a lot of listening to say that, but it's impressive. The only thing that I am puzzled is that this cd comes with a 'parental guidance:explicit content' sticker, not sure why!

5.0 out of 5 stars Stunning Album --- A-Ha are well and truely back on track!, 27 July 2007
By Jake M "terbo08" (England) - See all my reviews
(TOP 1000 REVIEWER)
A few months ago i picked up the "Analogue" album from former 80s wonder band A-Ha and it's a CD that has been played by me again and again.
It's just a great album and the listener knows this by just hearing the first song "Celice". The other tracks are of course stunning as well, beautiful and haunting, my favorite being "Cosy Prisons".
I recommened this disc highly, A-Ha are well and truely back on track!
