The disc is worth the price for Alain Vanzo's two contributions alone, the second from 'Giuditta' (Oh, ma belle étoile aka Du bist meine Sonne) ending with the showiest and most delectable high head note possible. Despite occasional squalliness from the singers and untidy ensemble, the music making has that touch of 'je ne sais quoi'.
