Those of you familiar with him will know Johans first two albums are classics. It's fair to say that, whilst not in the same league as those two, Dis is still an excellent listen. Johann Johannson certainly knows how to use electronica to touch the soul, create gorgeous atmospheres and give the listener a high. High pitched Budd and Satie style pianos rule the roost over deep liquid base loops. If quiet night in's are your bag with some quality ambient in the background then give this a go. He's even stuck in some female Icelandic vocals for good measure.

Again Johannsson delivers a CD of deceptively simple, short pieces of music. Together these pieces form a moving and haunting listening experience. I haven't seen the film that this music was composed for. However, listening to the CD it is not difficult to create your own movie, so evocative is the music. Great.
