Product Description
This is the ultimate critical review of a legendary band in the crucial years when Bon Scott was in the band and AC/DC rose from playing obscure clubs to conquering the world. For many fans Bon was a legendary front man without equal and his leather-lunged power was the key to a host of classic hits from Whole Lotta Rosie to Let There Be Rock. Featuring rare footage, much of it appearing on DVD for the first time, this powerful film draws together a team of leading critics and working musicians to review the legacy of one of the greatest frontmen in rock. FEATURING: Highway to Hell, Whole Lotta Rosie, Let There Be Rock, Rock n Roll Damnation, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, Problem Child, Rocker, Walk All Over You and more

2.0 out of 5 stars Slightly pointless, 18 Jun 2007
I only got this DVD for the various live clips, which unfortunately turned out to be very small (due to a sort of scene-within-a-scene effect used) and fragmented.

As I say, a bit pointless. They're AC/DC. It's not like their sound or style varies throughout the years, so 'reviewing' the early albums one by one is slightly futile. Also, there's a guy with a guitar, showing you the chords to the riffs. If you're an AC/DC fan that plays the guitar, you already know the chords. We've all learned 'em. If you're not a guitarist, then you're not going to care whether their great riffs are all A, G and D! Some of the bits he shows you aren't even correct.

Only buy it if you're an AC/DC fanatic that must have EVERY release.
