A group of rangers go camping in the deep backwoods. When one of the group snaps, and leaves, one by one some of the group disappears.

It is left up to the rest of the group to defend themselves against the presence in the woods.

With the killer disguised as the forest surroundings, one of their group held hostage, and an attack on their tour bus, they have to turn the tables on the killer.

Even if you haven't ever seen a horror movie before, and this is the first one you see, the campfire scene with the scary stories will give the game away straightaway.

They may as well have stranded up,pointed the finger at the most obvious person in the film, and go 'Look!! The story is all about him!!', it's that blatantly obvious to the fact.

Take this glaring narrative gut punch, and you have your perfunctory eighties slasher movie with Daryl Hannah before she was famous, and the bloke from T.J Hooker who wasn't Shatner.

And it also has Pantoliano in what has to be one of the most lazy, typecast characters that the makers could have put in a horror film. You'll know what I mean when he enters the first scene.

It isn't scary, the group are just your usual rag tag team of familiar teens running scared, and the deaths are pretty unoriginal.

And when the final reveal is finally presented, you'll slap your face in disbelief as to how predictable the film is. It's as if the makers have spoon fed you the twist.

But if you love the genre, it's not terrible.

If you re looking for a good backwoods slasher try this one.
Story goes as follows some juvinels goes in the woods with their councils
and get slaughterd by a mysterius being in the woods.
Whe all heard it before but this one does the job good good tension and some gore
but a lot of thrils and the killer looks awesome
only a shame that they didn t used the origenal artwork

but the dvd itself is a little dark at some times yust if they put the best video they could find and put it on dvd that s a shame

A group of young adults on a camping trip are chased by a psychotic "backwoods mama". The usual plot holes follow. The scared youths turn into counter-insurgency Rambo types during the last ten minutes of the film (well, almost). "Carnivore: The Final Terror" is something as corny as a slasher film with very little slash and even less sex. But then, I'm not particularly interested in this genre anyway, so I couldn't care less either way, ha ha. OK, now you can slash this review by pushing the "no" bottom below.
