In order to finance this 50 year war of attrition and entice new recruits into the army, the Consortium has floated its armies on the stock exchange

As Lieutenant James Anderson, you must infiltrate and destroy key enemy positions using a fantastic arsenal of weapons, while carrying out a mission that will take you deep into the heart of enemy territory. You must master each weapon and know each enemy's strengths and weaknesses to stop the carnage.

Note that this is a re-work of Iron Storm. I bought this at the weekend, loaded it up and immediately recognised it. Dug through my collection and compared it to my copy of Iron Storm (Polish version - don't ask) which has exactly the same cover.

There are changes from the original version.

It has been turned into a console title using save points as opposed to quick load/save. Unless you get this type of thing right it can ruin a game. If you look at the reviews of Iron Storm you will note that this game is quite challenging, especially the enemy snipers, without quick saves this will push this into tediously repetitive territory.

One of the reasons for doing this is to make more use of the story line and the stock market aspect. Depending on how successful you are the value goes up or down affecting certain aspects of the game.

Graphics have improved but this is to be expected.

I enjoyed the original version of this. Lots of variety in the levels(can get a little confusing though), nice weapons and difficult enemies.

I would recommend the original Iron Storm, even though it looks dated and is a bit buggy, but not this.
