I compared this new CD with my EMI CDs containing the same songs and was blown away by the difference. This CD from BGO sounds so much better. I also have an Australian CD of the "And We Were Lovers" album but it was also no match for this new CD. I can hear more instruments and the Dame's voice is as clear as a bell on this new release. Highly recommended!

Shirley Bassey is a favourite of mine since the midsixties, I just love her singing and performing! She has a great voice and stagepresence! This CD containes many gems! I hope her song "Sunshine" will appear one day on CD too... it's one of my favourite songs from the early sixties! Back to this CD... it has songs on it that still after all these years give me goosebumps! My advice is simply buy the CD and see what I mean! Shirley is the best of the best!!!!
