4.0 out of 5 stars Great & Easy to use!, 8 Dec 2005
The Canon Powershot A410 is the least expensive of Canon's compact cameras, but has some excellent features, eg super macro lens, which I dont even have on my DSLR, and a stitch facility to create a panorama. It offers pre set modes, such as portrait, night snapshot, snow (VERY hard to photography sucessfully!) and fireworks. It is extremely easy to use, and the pictures download really well onto PC and print out better than my DSLR. I bought it because I wanted a small camera to carry with me constantly that would fit into my pocket. The only disappointment I have with it is it's width, its not as small as the blurb gives you the impression it is, & wont fit into a very small pocket.

5.0 out of 5 stars DerekM, 25 May 2006

I've had this camera 6 months and I love it!

Superb camera delivering excellent shots despite a low (compared with others) resolution of 3MP. In fact the quality at A4 print and full screen is excellent and no different from many 4mp cameras.

Very light, easy to use in full auto mode and has an impressive zoom. Close ups are amazing: down to 50mm! Battery life isn't wonderful: but they are AAs and its worth investing in NiMh 2500 batteries and a high speed charger. Having the option of ordinary AAs when all else fails is worthwhile.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fab Little Camera, even a 7 year old can use it!, 20 Jan 2006
This is a great little camera. Being a fan of Canon's (currently have an Ixus 500) I wanted to get my 7 year old son a starter camera and it didn't take him long to work out how to use it. This camera takes great pictures with flash, with rarely any red eye, something that my Ixus always seams to do. I've been told that this is because the lens it too close to the flash on the camera. I sometimes take this out with me instead of the Ixus as it fits in my handbag just nicely. All in all well worth the money.
