5.0 out of 5 stars Soaring to the heights of spirituality, 7 Mar 2006
By Ms. A. J. Thompson (Edinburgh) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Superb in every way, this disc allows the listener to experience the heights and plumb the depths of their personal spirituality. With its beautiful soaring phrases, reflective plainchant and passionate intensity, the music of Jackson offers us the gamut of human emotion. The music can simply be described as sublime.

The choir of St Mary's Cathedral, Edinburgh, under the direction of Matthew Owens delivers an astonishingly committed performance with an energy that is quite exceptional. All of this is supported by a recording quality of the highest order.

This collaboration provokes an excitement in the recording which is so vivid that it is almost tangible. All in all, I can not recommend this disc highly enough.
