Don and David Was in the early 80's were the exponents of soul-jazz-funk-fusion for the cogniscenti. With this album they managed what some would consider the impossible feat of fusing soul, jazz and rock. Each track is a revelation and all stand equally by themselves. It must be considered that 'Walk the Dinosaur' may have been their most commercially successful track, but most fans recognise this as one the more weaker tracks from the album.

The stand-out tracks are: 'Somewhere in America' - a lament to 60's Americana, whilst 'Spy in the House of Love' is a 70's funk blast, whereas 'Love can be Bad Luck' could be Frank Sinatra circa 60's Vegas at his best with the rest of the Rat Pack. Speaking of Frank, this is revisited on 'Wedding Vows in Vegas' where Frank Jnr is a guest vocalist. The seven or eight remaining tracks are all individual gems and worthy to be included on this superb album.

So, if you want to listen to an album that is eclectic and also complete, need I say more?
