I had NO idea what to expect from this game, but as soon as I really got into the game, i was impressed.Basically, your a robot, designed for killing, HOWEVER, after the war ends, what need is there for a robot killing machine. The answer: stick them in a tower and watch them destroy each other, all for public entertainment (its televised.) You are one Robot, trying to make his way to the top of the tower in order to be Number 1. Graphically, this game is unique. The area's are not all that impressive, lots of rooms and corridors which differ from level to level. Its the detail of the other robots which happens to really catch the player's eye. Each robot is unique because it has different weapons or abilities, and as a result, all are very different in the way they look and act. All show of the PSP for what it can do. The into is pretty cool too. The gameplay is what really sticks out. You must destroy the other robot's in order to obtain weapons (used to kill other robots) and these get better and more advanced as you progress, so you might start with just a bog basic gun until you unlock a machine gun, or start with a basic sword which is upgraded. These are controlled simply via assigning them to square, triangle or circle. It allows for FULL customization of your bot. Through the game, you'll collect experience which you can use to upgrade your characters health, defence, and weapon capabilities. After unlocking all area's on one floor you can do a boss, which then allows you to advance to tougher floors with stronger enemies. The game has a two player wi-fi mode, and also has some artwork from the game on the disc. Because area's are randomly generated, the game does have some replay value, however, for those who just like to complete a game and thats it-there isn't much to this game. Its great on the surface, but beyond destroying lots of Robots, this game is limited. However, for anyone else, this is a great game to own.
