1.0 out of 5 stars Prism leisure can't remaster a DVD for their life, 10 Feb 2006
By Giallo "HI" (Celbridge, Kildare, Ireland) - See all my reviews
I will never buy a prism leisure dvd again the transfer of the film was too bright and in fullscreen I am aware that the film was shot in fulscreen but that doesen't stop prism leisure from at least letterboxing it and I know they can I've seen the transfer of Ed Gein which was anamorphic and the soundtrack on this film keeps changing volume after each chapter it either goes up or down Prism Leisure YOU SUCK!!!!!!!!!!

Although I have only given one star to this review it is not because of the movie which is really good it is because of the transfer which is complete crap

4.0 out of 5 stars Vegas, baby, 1 Mar 2007
In this third installment of the Leprechaun series, our hero finds himself in Las Vegas, but instead of falling in love with a hooker and drinking himself to death, he's off on a rampage to regain a shilling lost from his beloved pot of gold. Murder, mayhem and cackling soon follow.

Once again, you have to salute Warwick Davis for taking what could be an absurd character and making him such a malevolent and mischievous but always very funny presence in the film. In the biggest laugh out loud moment, he manages to sneak into a hospital disguised as a doctor; and even though he is less than four feet tall, very ugly, and still wearing his hat, he gets away with it! Nice work, Leprechaun.

Gore fans may be a little disappointed with this one, since it goes much more for laughs than gross-out moments. There are deaths, but most of them are done with the kind of tongue-in-cheek absurdity you would expect from one of the later Nightmare On Elm Street sequels. It's definitely the most broadly comical so far, and I think I laughed more at this one than the others, but I also think that's why I liked it so much.

Recommended to all Leprechaun fans and to anyone who enjoys the funnier end of the horror spectrum.
