5.0 out of 5 stars Essential (fresh) listening for anyone into 60s and 70s rock , 2 Jul 2007
By Nick Fitzherbert (UK) - See all my reviews

Terrific new music for anyone who enjoys the older sounds of the 1970s. This album blends the feel of the bands its members have played with in the past - the Small Faces, Faces, the Who, Bad Company and Foreigner - and serves up fresh new songs that are just as good as anything they have done in the past. The stand out track for me is 'Six to Midnight', the tale of a night out with Ronnie Wood that lasted for three days. There's a beutiful tribute song to Ronnie Lane, a power ballad called 'Angel' that reached no.1 in America and a stinging reminiscence of Kenney's time in the Who in a song called 'Where are You', that sounds more like the Who than Townsend and Daltrey themselves.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Classic Rock Album, 14 Oct 2009
By C. Kelly (Cranleigh, England) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I heard the Jones Gang live for the first time at Hurtwood Park (recommend this as well!). On the strength of the concert I tentatively bought the album. I was very pleasantly delighted. 11 good rocking tracks with a classic feel to them. Its not surprising really, with the group memebrs comprising of Kenney Jones (The Small Faces, The Who), Rick Wills (J Geils Band,Roxy Music, Foreigner)& Robert Hart (Bad Company). Tracks such as 'Mr Brown' make you smile (a dig at the PM?), and 'Angel' a soon to be classic power ballad, blend with proper foot tapping, head shaking, air guitar type classic rock tracks. As far as I was concerned, the album finished all too soon and I couldn't wait to start it again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant album - I never tire of listening to it, 9 Jun 2009

Hadn't heard of this group before I purchased the album, but they are great, good variety, reminded me of Rod Stewart in his heyday.
