All-New EA Sports skill stick: deke, shoot, and score like never before with NHL 06. With a tap of the right analog stick, pick your spot and execute brilliant signature shots while controlling the location of each shot with the new in-net targets. Unleash an arsenal of moves as you take complete control of every scoring opportunity.

EA Sports R.P.M. physics: new Realistic Puck Momentum (R.P.M.) means the puck is dangerous -- hard shots can injure defensemen, shake up goalies in the crease, ripple the twine, or knock water bottles off the net to add insult to injury.

Classic deking control: movement on the ice is more intuitive than ever as you skate and deke using the left analog stick to move past opponents and make goalies bite and perform all-new incredible desperation saves.

All-new momentum skating: feel what it's like to skate on an icy surface. Player speed and size now has an effect on momentum and turning radius. During speed burst players push the puck ahead to break past opponents, while stopping and turning creates real-time ice trails.

Once again EA Sports have come up with another fantastic NHL game. The playablility is to the same standard as previous games and the new extra features seem farly easy to cope with.

Seasons are long and hard.

For those never having played NHL before it hard hitting, fast and fun to play andso much different to FIFA games, a must have.

You cant complain about the graphics and detail on this game as they are brilliant, the new features are also good but the only thing i found most disappointing is the international teams, they are not up to date and i cant understand why not as all the NHL teams are ?. Another thing that annoyed me was that nothing was authentic, as examples, the canadien national team wear a shirt covered in mapleleafs and the american national team wear a shirt covered in stars and stripes, again i dont understand this as in the previous NHL 2005 game they wore authentic shirts so why not this year because this years replacments are very tacky and dont look anything like the real thing !. If you thought the gameplay and features of the previous game were good then you will think this is amazing but if you liked the 05 game for the realistic shirts and teams then you will be disappointed. This game is good and much better than any other hockey game in the gameplay department but is a long way away from getting the full 5 stars in my opinion.
