4.0 out of 5 stars A Nightmare Before Christmas version 2, 8 Sep 2005
By P. Baxter (UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Elfman has very much returned to the song writing style he used on A Nightmare Before Christmas with Corpse Bride's songs, and on one track - Tears to Shreds - matches it so closely it's hard to tell them apart.

However, as a huge fan of Elfman's work on Nightmare and his other Burton projects I can forgive a little familiarity to be allowed to return to his magical world once more.

Recommended, but don't expect any new ground to be broken.

5.0 out of 5 stars Corpse Bride- Music is definitely alive in this one!, 30 Oct 2005
Danny Elfman has excelled himself once again with this beautiful piece of music, in which he uses styles from many of his other works. This is ultimately one of his best film scores in the last 10 years. My personal favourite is 'The Piano Duet.'
