1.0 out of 5 stars Pink Floyd - London 1966 - 1967, 15 Sep 2005
By A Customer
This DVD is rubbish and who ever buys it or rents it will be very disappointed (this is being polite)
On the cover it states that there are rare performances from the classic late 60s this is untrue and consists of mainly interviews which are not from any Pink Floyd members.
There are no vocal performances.

1.0 out of 5 stars Avoid at all costs, 28 Sep 2005
There seems to be a lot of new product made available purely to cash in on the name of "Pink Floyd". This DVD is one such item. There are two performances - "Nick's Boogie" for 11 minutes (this being not much more than a jam session), and "Interstellar Overdrive" for 16 minutes. Both are available from other sources so are not exactly exclusive. The rest of the DVD consists of 3-4 minute soundbites from half a dozen random 60's icons (Mick Jagger, Michael Caine, Julie Christie etc.) that make no reference to Pink Floyd whatsoever - they are random comments from 60's interviews.

This DVD will only be of value to avid "collectionists" - it should be avoided by anyone expecting further insights into Pink Floyd's career.

5.0 out of 5 stars Maybe you had to be there..., 31 Dec 2005
By jdm "N8lyQwik" (UK or L.A., CA) - See all my reviews
Pink Floyd - London 1966-1967 is exactly as purported, remembered and envisaged. Anyone familiar with the group's work in the late 60's can tell you it was more about experimentation and instrumentation (in deference to Arnold Layne & Emily). Knowing this may help the listener to expect L-O-N-G and at times atonal musical ambling.
This is not a disc of the mid-late '70s Pink Floyd of Roger Waters lyricism. If one expects that they will be disappointed, but if this is of your era (or interest), you'll be transported back to time of mysticism and great promise during the Summer of Love. Needless to say, I loved it!
