If you are looking for something very different from the standard monopoly board packed with suprises then this probably isn't for you. Instead the monopoly makers have given you a game with 'Desiness' at the heart of the board. The individual roads and streets have been changed to familiar asian areas in the UK. Eg, including the infamous Southall Broadway, Ealing Road and Commercial Road (Tower Hamlets). Leaving london you have Soho Road and Foleshill Road to name just a few. The stations are also replaced with well known Indian train stations. However everything else remains the same, so this desi version doesn't add anything to the actual game. If you are playing with people who have heard of the streets and can relate to the desi culture then the game will be a laugh. With others.. well it's probably not worth the money!!

The name Desi Monopoly made me purchase this game, only because i thought it would be 'desi'. In fact it is not desi at all. The only change to the game are the places on the board. The Chance and Community chest cards have not changed and are dissapointing when you was expecting a change. Monopoly money are still pounds, would have made some difference if they were Rupees, and the figures dont seem desi.

This is a great game if you have alot of time which is to be expected, great for rainy days or christmas. Only thing is its not the easiest game for youngsters
