The last of five Press Gang DVDs brings the series to a dramatic and hilarious close. Includes 6 episodes: Head and Heart; Friendly Fire; A Quarter to Midnight; Food, Love and Insecurity; Windfall; There Are Crocodiles.

Writer Steven Moffat excels himself with his witty and often moving scripts, and the actors are superb. The episodes are filled with plot twists, schemes and disasters, as Lynda Day (Julia Sawalha) continues her relationship with Spike (Dexter Fletcher), tries to run a newspaper, and faces death multiple times... Beneath its lighthearted exterior, the teen drama also deals with issues such as infidelity and drug abuse.

Highlights include Lynda getting stuck in a vault, Colin's "date" with Julie, and Spike taking an ex-girlfriend out to dinner with Lynda as the waitress (all in the interest of a good story!).

Sadly no bonus extras or subtitles on this DVD, but the picture quality is excellent. A must-have for all Press Gang or Julia Sawalha fans. If you're new to the programme, start with Press Gang - Complete Series 1 [1989] [DVD] - you'll soon be hooked.
