Having heard Joseph Calleja's first offering, Tenor Arias, and then seen him live at St John's, Smith Square I was eagerly awaiting album no. 2. Well here it is - and it's a great listen. There aren't the fireworks that you get with Florez - it's a completely different voice and style of singing but it's great stuff nonetheless. Joe injects real emotion into his delivery and this works very well on the duets he sings with the girls - Anna Netrebko, Tatiana Lisnic.

This album is titled the Golden Voice and it's an appropriate choice of wording - the voice is golden, rich and powerful - not to be missed. Fabulous.
