4.0 out of 5 stars Does what it says......, 1 Mar 2006
I bought this smoothie maker to make healthier smoothies(milkshakes) for my 3 year old. Instead of using the powdered milkshake products full of sugar, he now enjoys smoothies make with fresh fruit. I know he is getting the goodness from the fresh product (and he actually prefers it to the powdered stuff).
The machine itself is a little bulkier than i expected but would be great for making smoothies for the whole family at the same time. I chose this over the Kenwood makes as they seem to have a reoccuring tap problem (as per buyers reviews). The tap on this version seems fine.
I find it is better to leave the motor running whilst pouring the smoothie into your glass. The whole machine is very easy to take apart and clean. This may be one of the cheaper machines available, but it does what is says!!

3.0 out of 5 stars I would continue looking......., 8 April 2007
I have had this smoothie maker for a few months, I bought it when it was on offer.

It blends well, there is not problem with that aspect of the blender. However the first setting packed up on me after just a couple of days so I use the 2nd or ice settings, it works fine.

It is fiddly to clean and can be quite difficult to dismantal, I need all my strength to turn the jug away from the blade section to take apart. Also, the washer near the tap has disintergrated, so it leaks slightly.

Finally, small fruits such as blueberries get stuck in the tap so you have to put them in last.

3.0 out of 5 stars Larger than expected, but does the job!, 15 Mar 2007
By Martin (Cheshire) - See all my reviews
Good Points;
- Makes smoothies, milkshakes, drinks, soups etc
- Really easy to use

Bad Points;
- The smoothie maker was larger than expected, so takes a lot of storage room in the cupboard when not in use.
- Difficult and fiddly to clean. Everything comes apart, but I've found that seeds from fruit like blackberries/raspberries etc tend to get everywhere
- Doesn't always fully blend all ingredients. Often end up with "chunks" of fruit or veg at the bottom.
- The tap often gets clogged (mainly due to the last point!)
- Not a great recipe book included
