When i purchased my psp i wasnt sure whether the hype had justified the new handheld. I had recently purchased a nintendo ds and after a couple of plays i felt as if i had made a mistake in purchasing. I purchased a psp and i was very surpried by the quality of the graphics and its other abilites. This game os based on the 05 formula one season with all the offical cars and drivers inculding montoya, bahrain etc.......
the graphics are crisp and the sound is good, this has a slight arcade feel to it but my goodness it is a very addictice game. Excelent fun and well worth the money. A definate buy for all f1 psp fans.

This game on the PSP is quite good. Featuring the current cars and tracks from the 05 season and some old cars from the past I think that is enough to keep you happy. But theres more, theres different modes and obviously that will keep you busy. The gameplay is very good but the graphics are abit blocky.
But overall a good F1 Title for the psp

I think the main aim with f1 grand prix was to create a game that could be played for 20 minutes whilst bored in the car. The game does not have the depth that f1 titles have on standard consoles. If you have played F1 2004 & 2005 on the PS2, dont expect anything near like that out of this PSP version.

The car setup options before a race are very limited, which for me is just as fun and important as the race itself. The actual handling of the car does not seem to reflect that what you would expect from a simulator.

The good point was that i was able to download actual grid positions and weather data from the real F1 champoinship in 2005, but i no longer own the game so cant vouch for the updtaes to the 2006 season.

I think that this game was designed to appeal to a more wider audience rather than target the F1 fans, therefore making the gameplay more arcade style than simulator.

Any F1 fan like me will be very dissapointed with this version and be left wanting more.
