To call this a bargain is a massive understatement. I'm a recent newcomer to jazz, and decided I'd dip my toe in the Charlie Parker ocean with this, having read previous reviews. When i saw this album I couldn't believe my eyes, ten cd's for this price from the jazz legend himself. There are a few recordings which i already have on here but thats to be expected with such a large collection.
Any jazz fan should get this collection or any music fan in general!
Each disc is between 50 and 70 minutes long and mostly good sound quality too. Its also worth mentioning that the "Parker With Strings" album is basically the last cd and that classic recording cost the same usualy.
Need i say anymore just buy it before someone realises the have made a mistake with the price.

First of all I would like to thank the first reviewer because it was this review which persuaded me to buy this box set. I have always been a great admirer of Charlie Parker and I was on the look out for a decent box set of his music. When I saw this 10cd set at this incredibly low price, I thought, "Too good to be true", well that old cliche' "Never look a gift horse in the mouth" applies in this case. This cd set has to be the bargain of the century and the sound is good quality too. Buy it! You just cannot go wrong.
